Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 17 Jan 1957

Mrs. Jeanette J. Williston, 84, died suddenly of a heart attack at her home, 316
East Main street, Wednesday afternoon at 12:30.  She had been ill in early
December and was hospitalized, returning home just before Christmas.

Born in Ionia, March 8, 1872, she was a daughter of George K. and Arabella
(Cooper) Jackson and was married to James I. Williston in Ionia June 25, 1899. 
They later moved to Detroit in 1920 where they resided until 1940 when they
returned to Ionia and operated the Williston hotel until they sold it a few
years ago.

Preceded in death by Mr. Williston December 24, 1955, she is survived by four
nephews, Jack Fleckenstein, Ionia; Richard P. Fleckenstein, Flint; John K.
Jackson Jr., Decorah, Iowa; George Allen Jackson, Los Angeles, Calif.; two
sisters-in-law, Mrs. Clara W. Jackson of Los Angeles and Mrs. Blanche Jackson of
Detroit.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at the Boynton funeral
home at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Fr. Roger Bunday officiating.  Interment will be
in Highland Park mausoleum.
