Born in Ionia April 29, 1883, she was the daughter of George and Julia Dansforth DeQuack. She graduated from Ionia high school and Michigan State college at East Lansing. October 19, 1908, she was married to Parke Wilson and they operated the Wilson’s Photo studio over the Hiler’s store many years. She also worked at the Stevenson department store. She and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1958. He died in 1962. They owned a cottage home at Long Lake since 1926 and had made their home there since 1947. She was a Long Lake area reporter for the Ionia Sentinel-Standard and Belding Banner several years. A member of the Shiloh Community church she also was a member and past matron of the Ionia chapter of Order of Eastern Star and charter member and first high priestess of Ionic shrine. She belonged to the Ionia Senior Citizens and Michigan State college alumni association. She is survived by cousins. Services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Leddick funeral home. Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh Community church will officiate and interment will be at Orleans cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Shiloh Community church.
