J. H. Bancroft, of the M. E. church. Burial was made in the Portland cemetery. Mr. Wilson was born in Ohio, October 26, 1849, and was 74 years of age at the time of his death. The cause of death was given as a complication of diseases. He has been confined to his bed during the past week. Mr. Wilson came to Michigan 23 years ago. He was married to Miss Ann Bowhall, at Cedar Springs. They moved to Portland 22 years ago. At the age of 14 Mr. Wilson enlisted in the army and served with Company B of the Fifth Kansas Cavalry. He served two years and six months, and was wounded in the right leg. He has received a pension since that time. He is survived by his widow, one son, Frank Wilson, of Portland, and a daughter, Mrs. A. Adams, of Chicago.
