The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, April 13, 1989


Harold J. Wilson, 80, of 5010 West Grand River Avenue, Portland, died Wednesday 
at his residence.  Born Dec. 26, 1908, in Portland, he was the son of Frank and 
Harriet Butler Wilson.  He was retired from TRW, supervision, tool and die.  He 
was a member of Portland Lodge No. 31, F & AM, the North Eagle Cemetery 
Society, and the Portland Congregational Church. 

Surviving are his wife Gladys; two sons, Steven and Thomas, both of Portland; a 
daughter, Mrs. William (Donna) Marshall of Eagle; five grandchildren; and one 
great grandchild.  A son, James, and two brothers, Donald and Richard, preceded 
him in death.  

Masonic services will be conducted Friday at 8 p.m. at Neller Funeral Home, 
Portland.  Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home at 1 p.m. 
Saturday, with the Rev. Stanley Finkbeiner officiating.  Burial will be in 
Portland Cemetery, with nephews serving as pallbearers.  A memorial for Ionia 
Area Hospice has been established in care of the funeral home.
