June 13, 1950 BELDING- Mrs. William H. Wilson, 83, of Belding died Tuesday in the Belding city hospital, where she had been a patient since last Friday. Mrs. Wilson has been staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jenson of Cooks Corners for the past six months. Born May 30, 1867 in Fairplains township, Montcalm county. Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Tallman. She was married in 1909 to Mr. Wilson. A graduate of Belding high school in 1884, Mrs. Wilson had taught rural schools about a year before she entered Ypsilanti Teacher’s College. She later taught for about 12 years in the Belding Ellis grade school and was principal for many years there. She was a member of the Baptist church and its auxiliaries, belonged to the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, the Ladies Literary club of which she was past president, a past president of the Brink P. T. A., a former clerk of the Brink school district, member of the Washington club, the Good-fellowship club, the Thimble club, the Brink Friendly Neighbor and the East Otisco Farmer’s Club. Survivors include her husband, William, a brother Ed Tallman of Ionia, a grandson, Albert Jensen of Balding, route 3. The body was removed to the Ellis funeral home. Arrangements for burial services were to be made later.
