Sept. 27, 1916 GERTRUDE WILSON HAS PASSED AWAY Miss Gertrude E. Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Wilson, and sister of Wilbur S. Wilson, Sumner H. Wilson and Mrs. Brinton F. Hall, died at the home of her parents in Belding Friday, September 22, 1916. The funeral was held Sunday, September 24, the services being conducted by the Rev. Allan J. Blair, of the Congregational church. The interment was made in the River Ridge cemetery. Miss Wilson was born in Belding November 25, 1880. She graduated from the Belding High school in 1899 and in the fall of 1900 she entered the University of Michigan, specializing in the languages and graduating from that institution in 1904 with the degree of A. B. In the fall of 1904 she began teaching in the Belding schools, and during the last nine years she has taught Latin and German in the High school, only giving up her work at the closing of the schools in June of the present year, when she was granted a leave of absence on account of failing health. The deceased, whose life was spent in Belding, possessed a most excellent character and her unassuming and gentle ways and manner won for her legions of friends who will regret her untimely death in the prime of life.
