Wilson, one of the pioneer residents of Belding, died at her home, 205 Pearl street on Wednesday, December 17th after an illness extending over a period of three years. Amelia S. Severance was born on August 28, 1844 at Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. She was married to David E. Wilson in 1874 and has lived in Belding since that time. She is survived by two sons, Wilbur S. and Sumner H. Wilson, both of Belding. Gertrude, a daughter, died in September 1915. Her husband, the late David E. Wilson, died in July, 1917, and another daughter, Mrs. Brinton F. Hall, passed on last year. Mrs. Wilson was a devoted wife and mother and her charming personality brought her a host of friends. Funeral services were held at her home, 205 Pearl street Friday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and burial was in the family lot at River Ridge cemetery.
