Ruth L. Wilson, 82, of Belding, passed away on Monday, Feb. 25, at Spectrum
Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  She was born in Ravenna, Mich.,
the daughter of Chester B. and Anna Margaret (Petersen) Maule, both of whom
preceded her in death.

She married Gerald Raymond Wilson on June 14, 1947, in Greenville, and shared 44
years of marriage prior to his death in 1991.  She worked for 17 years as a
seamstress at Jolly Kids Togs, then as a nurse’s aide for several years prior to
retirement.  Ruth enjoyed bingo and loved going out to eat with family and
friends.  She attended Shiloh Community Church and was a member of the VFW
Ladies Auxiliary.

Ruth leads to cherish her memory her children, Sandra Kay Phipps of Brunswick,
Ohio, Janet Lee Shepard, also of Brunswick, and Dale (Patricia) Wilson of
Greenville; grandchildren, Scott (Karin) Wilson, Jim Phipps and John Anderson; a
sister, Arlene Townsend of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition
to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Kenneth
Maule, Melvin Maule, Clayton Maule, Margaret Warner and Maxine Harris.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Verdun Family
Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding.  The funeral service will take place
at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Hulford officiating.
 Visitation will also take place for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
 Interment will take place when weather permits in Greene Cemetery in Orleans.
