Dec. 11, 2012 BELDING- Marie B. Wilson, 77, of Belding, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Hospice. Marie was born Aug. 22, 1935, near Fenwick, the daughter of Rex and Florence (Doane) Calkins. She graduated from Sheridan Agricultural High School and was a member of the Music Jams and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sheridan VFW Post 5056. Marie enjoyed crafts, crocheting, making Christmas ornaments and music. She taught her self to play several musical instruments. Marie was married on Feb. 26, 1983, at Shiloh Community Church to Jim Wilson. She was preceded by her husband, Jim, in 2012; her first husband, Bill Olsen, in 2005, her parents; and one sister, Katy Pearson. Marie is loved and survived by her children, Ed and Deanna Olsen of Twin Lake, Bill Olsen of Belding, Marilyn and Mike Kamps of Cedar Springs; two stepdaughters, Bonnie and Dave Pierson and Connie Hodges, all of Belding; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Maude and Al Waldorf of Greenville, Norma and Lyle Minikey, Carrie Smalley, all of Sheridan and Lucille and Nelson Hoisington of Belding many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Private committal prayers will be in Otisco Township Cemetery, Belding. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Following the funeral a luncheon will take place at church. Memorials may be given to Spectrum Hospice or Shiloh Community Church.
