A tribute to Wayne was also directed to the members of his family in personal remarks by Supt. R.A. Ambrose of the Carson City high school in whose classes the boy was a leader and an outstanding student as a member of the junior class and teams in the agricultural courses. Bearers were Fred Thayer, Howard McGowen, Ross Nelson, Kenneth Stebbins, Don Jensen, Harold Haysmer and Lester Sitts. Floral offerings were abundant and included memorials from the Carson City school groups and from the business men the high school faculty, school board, the senior class, and from friends all from Pewamo where Donald Wilson, a brother, is principal of the high school. Members of the junior class of the Carson city high school formed the honorary escort and were accompanied by Supt. Ambrose and Foster Woodman, teacher of Agriculture in the Carson City schools.
