Aug. 26, 1937 CHARLES WILSON Charles Wilson, 54, died at his home on route one, Lyons, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock after an illness of the past two years. In 1882 an epidemic of smallpox struck in Sebewa township where his parents lived and his mother went to Ontario, Canada where she was with relatives at the time of his birth, October 22, 1882. In 1923 he was married to Clara Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davenport who lived near the Gorham school. After their marriage they moved to several different places, and in May of this year moved to their present home from Collins. Survivors are his wife Clara, four children, Edmund 11, Dwight 9, Verneta 4, and Arthur 1; three brothers; Howard of Oregon, Fred of Orange township and Edmund of Alabama; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Rowe of Portland, Mrs. B. D. Kinne of Middleton, New York, and Mrs. Ivan Williams of Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the home one mile east of the Gorham school. Interment will be at Tuttle cemetery.
