She resided at 203 Pearl street, Belding. She was born in Richmond in 1872 and resided in Belding for over 50 years. She taught in the elementary grades in the Belding school before her marriage. Her maiden name was Ella M. Brown. She was a member of the Congregational church, of Doric chapter OES, of the Washington club and was a former member of the Thimble club. She was married in February 1901, in Armada. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Palmer Robillard of Detroit and Mrs. Van K. Trowine of Kalamazoo and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Fitzjohn funeral home by the Rev. Hailey R. Oliver. Interment will be in River Ridge cemetery.
