Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Sept. 10, 1990

PERRY- Gilbert L. Wilson, 73, of Owosso, a former Ionia resident, died 
Sunday at Ingham Medical Center. 

He was a retired operating engineer employed by William Brothers.

He was a member of the Perry VFW, No. 4063, and of the Loyal Order of the 
Moose of Ionia, No. 998.

Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Helms Carper; two sons, Gregory L. 
Wilson of Grandville and William Wilson of Indianapolis; two stepdaughters, 
Mrs. Charles (Janalee) Sanders of Orleans and Delores Naranjo of Durand; 
five stepsons, Robert O. Carpenter of Bancroft, Jack L. Carpenter of 
Williamston, Gary and Dennis Carpenter of Morrice, and Thomas E. Carpenter 
of Perry; 30 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Nelson-House Funeral 
Home, LaRowe Chapel, 214 South Main, Perry, with the Rev. Terry Turner, 
officiating.

Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.
