Leaves many Friends and Relatives. The funeral of David Wilson was has lived in Odessa township for fifty-three years was held at the home of his son Edward last Sunday afternoon. Rev. Spafford of the U.B. church gave the sermon and Mrs. George Robinson had charge of the music. Burial was in Lake Side cemetery. Mr. Wilson was very well known, having lived so long in this vicinity. OBITUARY David Wilson was born in Canada, Sept. 7, 1840, and departed from this life May 2, 1924 at his home in Odessa township, aged 83 years, 7 months and 25 days. He grew to manhood near the scene of his birth. In the spring of 1869, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Jackson, also of Canada. In the fall of 1870 they moved to Michigan residing in Ionia county. Five children were born to this union, and are left with the mother to mourn the departure of a kind husband and father. They are, George Edward, William H. and Margaret, now Mrs.Roy Carter, all of Lake Odessa, Robert J., of Ionia and Joel C. of Portland. He also leaves seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In 1919 Mr and Mrs Wilson celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage. Mr. Wilson enjoyed robust health until about six years ago when he suffered a sun-stroke, since which time his health has gradually failed.
