Louise J. Wilson, age 78, of Ionia, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2006.  
She was born on August 10, 1927. Louise was a member of the Easton United 
Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher.

She was a 4-H leader, ran the Service Club at the Ionia Free Fair as well as 
served as a sewing teacher and worked on election boards for many years.  
Louise enjoyed traveling, country-western and square dancing and loved to 
socialize with people and to serve and help others. She had a funny sense of 
humor, enjoyed laughing, and loved to bake especially cookies.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse in 1981; her mother in 
1982; her father in 1969; brothers, Gilbert, Harry, Bill; and sister, 
Suzanne "Toot".  Surviving are her children, Dave (Marie) Wilson of 
Williamston, Nancy (Ken) Raymond of Rockford, John (Karen) Wilson of King 
William, VA, Dan (Cathy) Wilson of Ionia, Dick (Susan) Wilson of Ionia, Jane 
(Jim) Platschorre of Ionia, Melissa (Joe) Hartman of Ionia; 23 grandchildren 
and 9 great-grandchildren; and special niece, Cindy (Tom) Hulliberger of 
Lowell.

The funeral service will be celebrated by the Pastor Tom Reaume at 11 a.m. 
Monday, March 27, 2006 at Easton United Methodist Church, 4970 Potters Rd., 
Ionia.  The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 
Ionia Chapel, 220 Rich St., from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday. 
Contributions may be made to the Easton United Methodist Church. Complete 
arrangements are being handled by the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia.
