Wilton, 87, of Saranac, passed away Monday, April 14, 2003 in Saranac. He was born January 15, 1916, the son of Donald Lee and Lottie (Englert) Wilton. He married Helen Pitcher on August 21, 1938, in Rockford. She preceded him in death July 29, 1998. He was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II, a member of the Saranac American Legion and the Carpenters Union. Mr. Wilton is survived by his son Donald Lee (Kay) Wilton of Grand Haven; daughters, Carol (Gene) Weeks, of Greenville; Tammy (Ron) Hankis of Saranac; brother, Arnold Wilton of Grand Rapids, nine grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, and his sisters Marguerite Wilton and Erma Billings. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Saranac Community Church with the Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Interment Saranac Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
