Ionia Daily Sentinel, 6 May 1918

The funeral for James E. Winans was held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock at 
Lowrey & Boynton’s rooms.  Rev. M. L. Marshall officiated.  Mrs. Eugene Smith 
sang.  Burial was in Highland Park cemetery.  Those who were here from out of 
town were, Mrs. Dell Williams, Don Evarts, and Mrs. Smith of Woodland, Mr. and 
Mrs. Kirby of Portland and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Winans of Palo.
