Jan. 26, 1921 Albert H. Winchell, was born April 6, 1894 and departed this life on January 20, 1921, being 26 years 9 months and 20 days of age. He was born at Lansing, Michigan and died at Smyrna, Michigan. He received his education in the public schools at Middleville, leaving there at the close of his school days. He was called to the colors during the great war and was under sailing orders at the time of the signing of the armistice, when he was discharged from Co. H., 88th U. S. Inf., returning and entering the employ of the Dodge Bros. Motor Co., where he was employed for three years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Odd Fellows. He leaves a father, Fred Winchell, of Ionia and two brothers, Archie, of Detroit and Roy, of Ionia, together with a host of warm friends to mourn their loss. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, January 22 at two o’clock from the residence of Charles Condon, at Smyrna, Rev. W. J. Rooke officiating and burial was in Smyrna cemetery. The odd Fellows had charge of the services at the grave and the members of the order attended in body.
