Feb. 5, 1970 LAST RITES FOR ROY WINEY Roy Winey, 82, passed away Monday afternoon at the Osteopathic hospital in Grand Rapids following a long illness. He had been hospitalized three months. He was born in Campbell Township Nov. 2, 1887, son of Elmer and Anna (Tobias) Winey, and was a lifelong resident and retired farmer of the area. He had also been employed by the E. W. Bliss Co. at Hastings for 11 years. Mr. Winey was a member of Hope Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Shupp; a son, Elmer of Hastings; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Nancy) Cunningham of Lake Odessa; four grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Ruth) Roberts of Copemish and Mrs. Cletus Wieland of Freeport. Funeral services were held at 1:30 Thursday (today) at Pickens Funeral Chapel. Rev. Wilbur Williams and Rev. Arthur Heisler officiated with burial in lakeside cemetery.
