He was born in Campbell township June 30, 1870 and had resided there and in Lake Odessa before moving to Kalamazoo about 40 years ago. While residing here he was employed by Claud Carpenter in the implement business and had continued in that work after moving to Kalamazoo until retiring seven year ago after suffering a stroke of paralysis. Surviving are his wife, two children, Mrs. Charles Warren of Portage and Wiliam of Muskegon; two brother Elmer Winey of Lake Odessa and Ira Winey of Lawton; four sisters Mrs. Clinton Henney of Freeport, Mrs. Dan Moore of Muskegon, Mrs. Barbara Gosseu of Long Beach, Cal. and Mrs. Celina Hazen of Lake Odessa; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held in Kalamazoo Tuesday with burial in Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.
