The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, January 8, 1941
Lewis Wingeier, 55, died Tuesday at his home in Saranac.  A former resident of 
Lowell, he had lived in Saranac about four years and was employed here as a 
caretaker of an industrial plant. 

He is survived by his wife, Alice, one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Geiger, of 
Freeport, and a son, Gus, of Lowell.  Mr. Wingeier’s body will repose at his 
son’s home until funeral services in the Alton church at 2 p.m. Friday.  
Burial will be in Alton cemetery.
