Ionia County News, 24 Oct 1963

Mrs. Ivah H. Wininger, 72, of Palo died Saturday morning at the Sheridan 
Community hospital.  She and her husband operated a general store in Sheridan 
eight years before moving to Palo.

She was born July 28, 1891, in Ionia county and was married in 1915 to Vernon 
R. Wininger.  Mrs. Wininger was a past matron of Order of Eastern Star of Palo.

Surviving besides her husband are a son, Dr. Vernon J. Wininger of Greenville; 
a daughter, Mrs. Leona Nelson of Sheridan, four grandchildren; a brother, 
Wilbert Moore of Orleans and a sister, Mrs. Lyla Patrick of Ionia.

Funeral services were held on Monday at Stebbins’ Funeral home in Sheridan and 
interment was in the Palo cemetery.
