Herman Winkler dies Suddenly
Herman winkler, 69, of 652 Eagle Point, Lake Odessa, passed away Friday evening at 
Blodgett Memorial Hospital, Grand Rapids, where he was hospitalized five days.

He was born February 27, 1904 at Ohmden, Germany, the son of Johnn and Maria
(Wenger) Winkler and had been a resident of the local area since 1923. He was a farmer, and
retired in 1967.  His first wife, the former Luta Gerlinger, passed away March 24, 1962 and
he married Mrs. Frieda Burch August 24, 1965.

Mr. Winkler was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife Frieda; two sons, Richard of Lake Odessa and Robert of
Kalamazoo; nine grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters residing in Germany.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at
Lake Odessa. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman officiated with burial in lakeside Cemetery.
