Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel for 
Mrs. Luta M. Winkler, 64, route three, who died Saturday at 3 p.m. in Pennock 
hospital, Hastings.  She had been in ill health and hospitalized intermittently 
the past several years.

A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Winkler was born February 18, 1898 in 
Barry County, the daughter of Henry and Carrie Eckardt Garlinger.  She was 
married to Herman Winkler, April 3, 1929 and lived for a number of years on a 
farm east of Lake Odessa.

Mrs. Winkler was a member of the Methodist church and WSCS of the church and a 
member of Tupper Lake Farm Bureau.

She is survived by her husband, Herman; two sons, Richard and Robert, and six 
grandchildren, all of Lake Odessa.

Officiating will be The Rev. F. J. Fitch and Rev. Robert Betts. Burial will be 
at Lakeside cemetery.
