In ill health several years, Mrs. Winright had been seriously ill ten weeks. She was born Sarah Elizabeth Moyer in Kansas and left there for Indiana with her mother at the age of four years. They lived at Sand Lake and Morley in Michigan prior to her marriage to Charles Winright in 1877 and Mr. and Mrs. Winright came to Lyons in 1913 where they lived on a farm just east of the village. Mr. Winright died in 1936. A son, Laverne, and his wife have lived with Mrs. Winright. Surviving are four sons, Frank, Laverne and James of Lyons, and Louis, of Fowler; two daughters, Mrs. George Sanford of Morley and Mrs. Floyd Vincent of Lyons. One son, John, one daughter, Mrs. Addie Griffin and two children in infancy preceded her in death. There are also surviving 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one brother, Cornelius Moyer, of Oregon and a half- brother, William Coolbaugh, of Nashville. Funeral services were held at the home east of Lyons at 2 o’clock Tuesday with Rev. Howard Fuller of Lyons conducting.
