The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 25, 1943

Herbert Winslow, 68, of 327 West Washington street, died Saturday evening at 
9:30 o’clock at the Ionia Community hospital where he had been a patient for 
the past three weeks.  Born May 4, 1874 in Easton township, he was the son of 
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Winslow and spent his entire life in Ionia county.

He had been employed at the Ionia state hospital for the past 25 years.  He 
was a member of the IOOF lodge and pallbearers will be members of the Odd 
Fellow lodge.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carl J. Haubner, of Grand Rapids and one 
sister, Mrs. Carrie Curtis, of Easton.  His wife preceded him in death several 
years ago.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers 
funeral home.  Rev. F. G. Dunbar, pastor of the First Methodist church, will 
officiate and burial will be in Easton cemetery.
