Deceased was one of the oldest residents of the county, coming to Ionia in 1834 and following his trade of mason here until 1855, when he moved on the place in Easton, about a mile and a half west of city, now owned and occupied by Leroy Nummer. Later he moved to a farm in Berlin township, and afterwards to Saranac, which has since been his home. He leaves four children: Nathan, Wm. Bryan, Thos. D., and Leroy. Funeral at Saranac tomorrow.
