Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Nov. 1, 1971

LAKE ODESSA- Mrs. Katherine Winslow, 89, died Sunday morning at the 
Provincial house in Hastings where she had been the past two years.

Born in Czechoslovakia, February 26, 1882, she was the daughter of Joseph 
and Marie Gal. She lived in the Lake Odessa area since coming here from 
Ionia in 1930. She was a member of St. Edward's Catholic church in Lake 
Odessa and also its altar society.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Howard Hershberger of Lake Odessa; three 
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Marie Janaca of 
Owosso; brother, John Gal of Czechoslovakia.

Prayer services at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa will be at 1:30 
pm Tuesday with funeral services at 2 pm at St. Edwards Catholic church in 
Lake Odessa. Fr. Robert Maternoski will officiate.

Rosary will be recited at 8 pm Monday at Pickens funeral chapel.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery, Ionia.
