Born Jan. 29, 1934, in Kentucky, he was the son of Elzie and Nancy William Wireman. He worked for 37 years at Extruded Metals in Belding, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of the National Rifle Association. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ella; a son, Michael of Ionia; a granddaughter, Megan; five brothers, Adam, Callie and Bill of Belding, Roy of Eagle and Melvin of Tacoma, Wash.; six sisters, Edna Wireman of Kentucky, Betty LaFontsee of Harrison, Madge Buxton of Diamondale; Stella Conley of Belding, Josephine Chapin of Holt and Margaret Corl of Sheridan; his mother in law, Evelyn Hitchcock of Saranac; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eva. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kathryn Coombs of Easton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
