She was born in Belding, Michigan, on Feb. 28, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (McCormick) Lyons. She graduated from Belding High School and married Callie Wireman who preceded her in death. Veronica worked for much of her life as a caregiver to many different individuals. She helped to make them comfortable in their homes and assisted them with cleaning and personal care or in whatever capacity they needed. She collected dolls, loved to watch birds and had a special interest in the beauty of rainbows. She loved her dog, "Baby Girl" but cherished her family and friends. She has been described as the "nicest person you could ever know" and was always taking care of someone. She was also generous and regularly supported charities including St. Jude's Children Hospital and was honored by being asked to attend a donor's luncheon in Tennessee a little over a year ago. The memory of Veronica will be cherished by her children, Callie J. (Dawn) Wireman of Orleans, Steve (Phyllis) Wireman of Ionia, Linda (Duane) White of Fenwick, James (Mindy) Wireman and Mark (Kelly) Wireman both of Belding; a son- in-law Randy Huey of Howard City; lots and lots of beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters Betty Rozell of Florida, Marie Wireman of Ohio, Rose Wireman of Belding and Marian (Robert) Nason of Belding; brothers John Lyons of Belding and Robert (Theresa) Lyons of Greenville. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by daughters Nancy Huey, LouAnn Wireman and Connie Wireman. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding with Fr. Darrel Kempf the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Rest haven Memory Gardens. The family will also greet visitors at the Church on Wednesday morning from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Those wishing to express their sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial donation in Veronica's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
