Ionia Sentinel, 2001

Cody James Wirth, 5, died July 23, 2001, as the result of an accident.  He was 
born January 30, 1996 in Carson City, the son of David and Robin (Welch) 
Wirth.  Cody would have started kindergarten this fall.

He is survived by parents David and Robin, sisters Katie, Kelsey and Mackenzie 
and brother Bradley, grandparents Maynard and Mary Ann Wirth, of Fowler, and 
Mamie Robinson, of Pewamo, godfather Robert Hegesbach of Fowler, and godmother 
Mary Jo Wirth, of Fowler.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church 
in Pewamo with Rev. Fr. Charlon Mason officiating.  Burial will follow at St. 
Joseph Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
Wednesday and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the 
Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Fowler, with a vigil service prayed 
at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to the charity 
of the donor’s choice.
