Ionia Sentinel, Saturday, May 16, 1987

IONIA - Clara K. Wirtz, 79, of 4575 Lincoln Avenue, Ionia, died May 15 at the 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1908 in Ionia, the daughter of Nelson and Olive (Bell) 
Kenter.

She attended Ionia High School.

She married Peter J. Wirtz, who preceded her in death in 1962.

During the war she worked at the A.C. Spark Plug Factory in Ionia.

Surviving are two daughters, Jo Montgomery of Warren and Jean Bogart of 
Kalkaska; one son, Jack Wirtz of Ionia; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of the 
Montgomery Funeral Home, the Rev. Kay Williams officiating.  

Burial will be at Easton Township Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Easton United Methodist Church Memorial 
Fund.

The family will be at the funeral home Saturday 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 
2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
