Ionia Sentinel, Friday, September 28, 1956

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Wirtz 83, who died Monday morning were held 
Wednesday morning, with prayer service at 8:30 at the Myers funeral home 
followed by Requiem high mass at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul church.  The Rev. 
Fr. John S. Fons sang the mass.  Burial was at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Kenny, Hugh Kenny, Will Longe, Frank Wirtz, Jack Wirtz 
and Lee Stalter.

Those attending from out of town were Sister N. Sylvester of Wayne, Mr. and 
Mrs. Charles Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wirtz, Mr. and Mrs. John F. O’Hearn, the 
Rev. Robert C. Dillenbeck C.S.S.R., Mr. and Mrs. John Casselman, Mr. and Mrs. 
C. Andree of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wirtz of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. 
Floyd Bogart of Kalkaska, Mr. and Mrs. John Snyder of Owosso, Mr. and Mrs. 
Frank O’Mara of Lake Odessa and Mr. and Mrs. John Schafer of Fowler.

Mrs. Wirtz is survived by a sister, Mrs. Catherine Patterson of Ionia.
