Buel F. Wise, 80, of 7170 Brown Road, Lake Odessa, died Wednesday in Pennock
Hospital, Hastings.  Born March 12, 1903, in Woodland Township, he was the son
of Joseph and Cora Fisher Wise.  He lived in the Woodland area all his life.

He was married to Dorothy Smith June 5, 1935, in Logansport, Ind.  He was a
member of the Hope Church of the Brethren of Freeport.

Surviving are his widow, Dorothy; two sons, John and Coridon, both of Lake
Odessa; nine grandchildren; and three sisters, Josephine Laycock of Wayland and
Marjorie and Cornelia Wise of Los Angeles, Calif.  One son, Joel, preceded him
in death in 1974.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday from the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel
in Lake Odessa, with the Revs. Jerry Brenneman and Willis Stehman officiating. 
Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Park.  The family will be at the funeral
chapel in Lake Odessa Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
