The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, February 19, 1952

Saranac-—Mrs. Nellie Witt, 86, died Monday, February 18, at 5 p.m. at the 
Ionia Rest Home after being a patient there since last April.  She was born in 
Michigan June 15, 1860, and lived for many years on a farm near Saranac.  She 
moved away several years ago to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Laura 
Stone, of Grand Rapids but due to ill health spent much of the time in 
convalescent homes in Ionia and Lowell.

Surviving besides the daughter are three grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Morris funeral home in Saranac 
at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Saranac cemetery.
