Dec. 3, 1903 AFTER 83 YEARS Mrs. Alexander Witt Passed Away This Morning. Mrs. Almena Witt, widow of Alexander Witt, passed away this morning at the home of Mrs. Wm. Choate on South Bridge street, having reached the 83rd year of her life. Her husband died about 12 years ago, and she has since made her home with her daughter in this city, at whose home she died. Four children were born to them, two sons and two daughters. One of them, Edward Witt, gave up his life for his country in the war of the rebellion, Eli Witt of Otisco, Adelia Kelsey, of Alexandria, South Dakota, and Mrs. Viola Choate, of this city still survive her. The remains will be taken to Smyrna and laid beside those of her deceased husband. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed as the family are awaiting word from Mrs. Kelsey.
