Cornelia Wittenbach, 93, of Belding, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 9, 2003,
at Metron of Greenville Nursing Home.  She was born Aug. 30, 1909, in Grand
Rapids, the daughter of Arie and Nellie Buth Spruit.

Cornelia was a member of Ashley Baptist Church.  She married Ernest Wittenbach
on April 20, 1939, in Grand Rapids.  She was a loving wife, mother and
grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wittenbach, in 1977; her
parents; and three sisters, Marie Hordyke, Nellie Byl, Margaret “Peg” Waterloo.
 She is survived by her children, Edwin and Linda Wittenbach of Belding, Vernon
and Lucada “Pam” Wittenbach of Wilmington, Del.; six grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Marinus “Bud” Waterloo, and niece, Dianne
Waterloo, both of Grand Rapids.

Funeral and committal services are 11 a.m. Monday at Ashley Baptist Church, with
Pastor David A. Oliver officiating. Interment is in Ashley Cemetery.  Visitation
is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
