Wittenbach, 84, of rural Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, April 26, 2005 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus, Greenville. Ken was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Kent County, the son of Alfred and Alma Youngs Wittenbach. Ken graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1939, served as a trustee of Oakfield Township and for the ASCS. He was past treasurer for Grattan Schools and attended Belding United Methodist Church. Ken was a member of the Belding Masonic Lodge. He was married on Aug. 16, 1941, in Belding to Doris Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Doris; their children, Cheryl Fagerlin of Belding, Betsy Lillie, Tom and Jodi Wittenbach, all of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Kim, Pat, Angie, Brian, Bradley, Stephen, Leslie, Sly; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Calvin and Marilyn Wittenbach, Sue and Mike Croskery of Austin, Texas. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Connie Shatz, of Belding United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment is in Ashley Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alvah H. Belding Library, the Long Term Care Unit of Spectrum Health United Memorial or Belding United Methodist Church.
