                            WITTENBACH

Laurie Marie Wittenbach, age 62, of Saranac, MI passed away February 2, 2022. 
She was born on September 11, 1959 in Ionia, the daughter of Frank and Claudia 
(Campbell) Ward.

Laurie worked as a correction officer for the Michigan Department of Corrections 
for 23 years.

Laurie loved her kids and grandkids. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed 
gardening, bird watching, Antiquing and Harleys.

Surviving Laurie is her son, Brad (Denise) Wittenbach of Saranac; daughter-in-
law, Abbie Wittenbach of Saranac; grandchildren, Ryleah Wittenbach, Andrew 
Wittenbach, Brooke Wittenbach, Lindsey Wittenbach, Spencer Wittenbach, Ethan 
Wittenbach, Ryker Wittenbach, Hollilynn Kuyt and Lonnie (Corey) Wickham; great 
grandchildren, Jack Wickham, Hendrix Kuyt and Arlo Wickham; brother Frank Ward 
of Lyons and sister, Kris Ward of Muir. Special friend, Dean Ohren. She was 
preceded in death by her parents; son, Bart Wittenbach and nephew, Michael 
Makley.

A memorial visitation was held Monday, February 7 2022 at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A luncheon at the American Legion Post 175 
followed at 1:30 PM. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home of Saranac.
