Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Aug. 29, 1949

Mrs. Emma Witzel, 89, of 323 Welton street, died Saturday evening. She had 
lived in Ionia for about 55 years.

Mrs. Witzel was born Emma Duffy in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, February 14, 
1860. She was married to John Witzel in Detroit about 60 years ago. 

She is survived by four sons, Herbert, Roy, George and John, all of Ionia 
and several grandchildren. Two daughters, Alice Witzel and Mrs. Roy Servoss 
preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Bradley funeral home and 
at 9 a.m. from S.S. Peter and Paul church. Rosary will be recited Monday at 
7:30 p.m. at the Bradley funeral home.

Burial will be in the family lot in Mt Olivet cemetery.
