Wohlscheid, 52, of Harrison, formerly of Portland, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on Oct. 27, 2009. She was born on Jan. 18, 1957 in Lansing. She was a nutritional therapist for Ionia County Memorial Hospital for several years. She loved riding with her husband on their motorcycle, crocheting, and her special dogs. She was preceded in her death by her mother, Donna Jean Mather. Surviving are her husband of 15 years, Kevin Wohlscheid of Harrison; son, Abrum (Jennifer) Stanke of Portland; step son, Charles Brent Wohlscheid of Mississippi; three grandchildren, Shelby and Daniel Stanke, and Connor Shane Wohlscheid; father, Duane (Donna) Mather of Olivet; siblings, Mike (Dorothy) Mather of Eagle, and Linda (Art) Giffen of Lansing; father-in-law, Robert Wohlscheid of Ionia; mother-in-law, Iola Clemens of Laurel, Miss. The funeral service was held on Oct. 31 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland with Rev. Roy Atherton, officiating. Interment followed at Keefer Cemetery, Orange Township.
