Ferd Wohlscheid Buried Here On Saturday
Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church Saturday morning for Ferd J.
Wohlscheid, 64, of Portland, who passed away Oct. 12, at Carson City hospital.

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Louis Flohe officiated at  services, and burial was in Portland
cemetery.

Surviving are the wife, Sadie; three sons, Gerald of Grand Ledge, Verdan of Gowen
and Richard of Texas; seven daughters, Mrs. Betty Merrifield, Mrs. Helen Fandel and Mrs.
Marjory Blundy, all of Portland; Mrs. Mary Sandborn of Grand Ledge; Mrs. Maxine
Reimer of Midland; Mrs. Gwendolyn Bentley of Indiana; Mrs. Arlene Montoya of California.

There are two sisters, Mrs. Rose Barnes of Portland and Mrs. Anna Ewing of St.
Louis; two brothers, Anthony of Eagle and Sylvester of Charlotte; 35 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.

The Rosary was recited at Neller funeral home Friday evening.

Bearers were Earl Kelly, Howard Wilcox, Stewart Wilcox, Virgil Ewing, Charles
Wohlscheid and John Wohlscheid.
