Former Resident Dies at Alma

Kenneth Wolfe, 67, passed away Monday morning at Alma Hospital.  He was born
August 26, 1907, son of Roy and Rosa Wolfe at North Star, Mich.  He attended the
Ithaca Schools and Ferris Institute at Big Rapids.  

He married Leora Turner of Evert, Mich., August 9,1929.  The had resided in
Lansing for 10 years, Ithaca, 5 years; Lake Odessa, 18 years and Alma 12 years.
 While living in Lake Odessa Mr. Wolfe operated the Gamble Store, was a member
of the Central United Methodist Church and Lions Club, Boy Scout leader and also
served as Odessa Township Clerk.  In 1962 they moved to Alma, where he was
general manager of the Gratiot Farmers Supply Co. until his death.

Surviving are his wife, Leora, a daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Geiger of Lake
Odessa, a son, Richard of Casnovia; five grandchildren and two sisters, Ruth
Wolfe of St. Louis and Mrs. Norman (Una) Schultheiss of St. Johns.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Barden’s Funeral Home in
Ithaca.  Burial will be at the North Star Cemetery.
