Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 9 Sep 1959

Cornelius Wolfert, 85, born January 25, 1874 in the Netherlands, died September 
8 at his home in Saranac.

He is survived by his wife, Lena; one daughter, Mrs. Alma Rosecrance of 
Lansing; one son, Wesley Wolfert of Ionia; five grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren; two brothers, John and Paul Wolfert of Holland and two sisters, 
Mrs. Alida Dower of Patterson, N.Y., and Mrs. Asken June Scuhtem of Rochester, 
N.Y.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Morris funeral home in 
Saranac. The Rev. Glenn McCarty will officiate and burial will be at Holland at 
2 p.m.
