All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Patricia Currigan currigan1932@comcast.net December 2, 2022, 3:32 pm Lake Odessa Wave - Friday July 14, 1905 Anna Catherine Wolford, better known as "Cassie" Wolford, died at the home of her parents, in South Campbell, Tuesday, July 4th, of typhoid fever, after a brief illness, during which all that kind friends and neighbors could do was done for her relief. The funeral services were held at the Thornapple Church, Sunday a.m.,July 9th, the Rev. Peter Messner, assisted by Rev.S.M.Smith, officiating, after which the remains were followed to their final resting place in Lakeside cemetery by a large concourse of relatives and friends. Deceased was a lady who commanded the highest respect, a staunch member of the German Baptist church, and was beloved by all who knew her. She was born in 1872, in the state of Ohio, but removed with her parents to Michigan in 1885 coming to Campbell in 1888, where she resided until the time of her death, at which time she was about 33 years of age, and she had just returned from a visit with relatives in Ohio where the dreadful malady, which caused her death, overtook her. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of their many friends here.
