Wolthuis, 16, of Portland, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014. He was born on May 17, 1998, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Charles and Pamela (Fedewa) Wolthuis. Nicolas loved his monster trucks, swinging outside, going camping and sitting around the campfire, and even liked going to the doctor to get shots, because he knew he would be going out to eat. He also loved making people smile, dancing to all kinds of music, Little Orphan Annie, and especially loved Santa and the Christmas season. He will be dearly missed. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Bill and Vivian Fedewa. Surviving are his parents, Chuck and Pam Wolthuis; sisters, Melanee and Malarie; grandparents, Chuck and Jean Wolthuis; aunts and uncles, Tim (Carol) Fedewa, Kim (Tom) Hooker, Kirk Wolthuis, and Martha (Jeff) Williams; several loving cousins, especially Matt and Becca Hooker. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, with the Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson of the First Congregational Church presiding. Interment will follow at Danby Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire when attending the funeral.
