Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, April 11, 1956

Mrs. Anna Wolverton, 82, died Wednesday morning, April 11 at 9 o'clock at the 
Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. 
Born in 1874, in Erie county, New York, she was the daughter of Frank and 
Harriet Velia, had been a resident of Coopersville for many years and was 
recently living in Ionia with relatives, at which time she was taken ill.

Preceded in death nine years ago by her husband, George Wolverton, She is 
survived by one son, George E. Knowles of Grand Rapids; two brothers, Roy of 
Breckenridge and Archie of Ionia; four sisters, Mrs. G.E. Chadwick, Mrs. Albert 
Schieble and Mrs. Ella Duffy, all of Ionia; Mrs. Martin Gresco of Grand Rapids; 
Mrs Harry Smith of St. Louis; one grandchild and six great-grandchildren. 

The body will be at the Boynton funeral home until Friday morning, when it will 
be taken to the Troop funeral home at Coopersville where funeral services will 
be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the family lot at 
eh Coopersville cemetery.
