Wolverton, 38, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Wolverton, was buried at Redford Thursday afternoon, following his death Sunday, January 18, in Providence hospital, Detroit. Death followed a week’s illness with kidney disease which had apparently been of long standing although he had no acute symptoms of its prior to his last illness. Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Anna Wolverton, formerly Anna Carroll, of Detroit, three children, Betty, 10, Russell, six, and Neil, Jr., four, besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Wolverton of Ionia. Four brothers and two sisters also survive; Roy, of Lansing, Orin, of Bay City, Dail, of Lansing, Lyle, of Blanchard, Mrs. Louis Annis of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Harold Munson of Flint. Funeral services were held from the Charleston chapel on Grand River avenue. Mr. Wolverton went to Detroit about 20 years ago from Ionia, after graduating from the Saranac high school in 1911 and from the Ionia high school in 1912, and studying a short time with J. Clyde Watt, with the intention of taking up law. After going to Detroit he entered the employ of Grinell Bros. later going with the Detroit Edison company, and then taking up auditing and accounting for himself. For the past few years he has conducted his own auditing and accounting business with a list of clients in many cities. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Wolverton returned last night after attending the services.
