WOLVERTON, ROBERT M.:
   SENTINEL-STANDARD, IONIA, MI, April 5, 1986:  "ROBERT M. WOLVERTON, 66, of
4577 Kelsey Highway, Ionia, died at his residence April 3.   
   A lifelong resident of Orange Township, he was born July 17, 1919, the son of
the late Lester and Ella Martens Wolverton.  He was a member of the LeValley
United Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau, and formerly belonged to a local
barbershop quartette for several years.
   Surviving are his wife Edna; three daughters, Mrs. James (Sharon) Prinz of
Portage; Mrs. Brian (Betty Ann) Dolphin of Belding; and Margaret Hilley of
Okemos; eight grandchildren; and his mother, Ella Wolverton of Ionia.
   Also surviving are:  a brother, Richard of Lake Odessa; two sisters, Corinne
Brown of Gibson City, IL, and Carol Winton of Warren; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the LeValley United
Methodist Church, with the Rev. Willis Braun officiating.
   Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Charles Sanders,
Robert Van Strien, Dwayne Pinkston, Robert Croel, Matthew Schrauben and Colon
(Corky) Helman.
   The family will be at Neller Funeral Home, Portland, Saturday from 7 to 9
p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
   Memorials have been established for LeValley United Methodist Church and the
Michigan Heart Association, in care of the funeral home."
