Portland Observer, 25 Jan 1934

Word has been received in Portland of the death Sunday at Los Angeles, 
California, of Mrs. Irene Wood, widow of the late L. C. Wood and mother of George 
Wood who now resides in California.  She was a pioneer resident of this community 
leaving Portland to make her home in the west a number of years ago.  She was a 
member of the local Lady Maccabee lodge and it was through a notice sent to Mrs. 
Arthur Baker, recorder of that organization, that news of her death came to 
Portland.
